Now I know I'm not the only person out here blogging for two or more blogs. Far from it. But I've been scratching my head lately trying to figure out how to be in two places at once. Both blogs are important to me and sometimes, while reading and admiring other blogs, I want to comment. Frequently however, both "blogs of me" want to comment at the same time. So what's a blogger to do?
I know! Typepad allows the user to create numerous blogs, so why not create yet another one to tie the first two together!?! (Gosh. Does this make this blog a threesome? I'd better stay away from that one. Imagine the spammers I'd attract...)
So thank you for visiting and allowing me to introduce the following two blogs:
Planet of the Blind is a cooperative effort with my husband, Stephen Kuusisto. Steve is the writer in our family and it is after his book, Planet of the Blind, that our blog has been named. There we talk about life on this planet of ours, much of it involving issues of disability. But you'll also find snippets of our personal lives from the point of view of a poet and professor of creative writing and disability studies(Steve) and his wife (Me).
Blog [with]tv is the second blog I'm involved with. I met the "folks" at [with]tv just as they were looking for a volunteer to manage their blog. [with]tv, a television channel of, by, and for people with disabilities...and everyone else, is poised to burst onto the scene. There is much work going on behind the curtains and there are all kinds of opportunities for people, with and with out disabilities, to get involved. So please do!
Both blogs represent a labor of love. So from here on out, as I travel virtually around the blogosphere, I'm going to identify myself as "Twofer".
See ya!
